This Surface Mount (SMD) Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor is made up of several interleaved metal electrodes arranged in a rectangular block of ceramic dielectric. It is mostly used for filtering or noise reduction on data lines, power lines, etc., and is incredibly inexpensive.
